i10: Safety

Front and Side Airbags

In impact situations the intelligent safety package of the i10 provides fully integrated passive safety. Pre-tensioned seatbelts work together with the seats to hold passengers in the optimum position. The airbags are depowered to avoid injury and all surfaces are strategically padded.

ABS with EBD

Hyundai's state of the art anti-lock brake system prevents the wheels locking up in an emergency braking situation. The Electronic Brake Force Distribution uses sensor to determine where the braking force needs to be distributed to meet the road conditions. Together these systems make braking more precise and effective whilst increasing stability under heavy braking.

Front Seatbelt Pre-tensioners

The front airbags and seat belt pre-tensioners work together, preventing injury from the belts while optimising their performance.
